PUBG Suing Fortnite For Copying Battle Royale Game Mode

Battle of "Battle Royale" Games
PUBG has officially filed a legal action against it's biggest competitor Fortnite for alleged copyright infringement. Fortnite has become the most popular game in the world as of today, and If I were PUBG which is also a Battle Royale game I would definitely be threatened.
PUBG is claiming that Fornite copied their "Battle Royale" game style. It is no question that both games have similarities in a way that 100 players play against each other and the last one standing wins. The major difference between them is that Fornite has building mechanics of which I strongly believe that the ability to shoot and defend with building is the main reason the game is so much fun and exciting to play.
The questions tho is does PUBG actually own the Battle Royale game mode?
Meanwhile, Fornite in cooperation with Neowiz Games is preparing to launch in Korea where PUBG is also based. No wonder with the law suit eh?
